I have this thing for making life a bit easier, especially when I'm preparing meals. Last November, I saw this CrimpIt being shown on Tik Tok. It caught my eye because I make burritos for my hubby to have for lunch. I thought this would be a fun way to make the same recipe, just a bit different shape.

I went onto Amazon and found it cheaper than from ordering it through a Tik Tok seller. The first try was successful, and my hubby said he liked them better because they crisped nicely when fried.

I made the usual mixture of veggies, refried beans, taco seasoning and shredded Mexican cheese mix. Add some salt and pepper and the filling was done.

The directions have you heating the tortilla for a few seconds before filling and crimping it. I found that brushing the outer edge of the tortilla helped to seal the crimped edge better than not using the water.

I placed them onto a parchment-lined baking tray and froze them for one day. Then bagged them the following and now hubby has a dozen in the freezer to use when he wants to.

Of course, once he saw them being made, he asked to have one for lunch that day.
It's easy for him to cook when he is ready to eat; Since I'm Intermittent Fasting, I don't eat for another 1 1/2 hours after he does. He likes cooking one for himself and letting me do whatever I want, usually working on a craft project or assembling one of my puzzles.

Vola, this is his favorite way to have them now. He said he likes them lightly fried instead of just rolled up like a burrito, much tastier in his opinion.

That is my newest kitchen gadget, and I must say, I'm going to find different types of fillings to put inside. I was thinking something like pulled pork and shredded cheese, or diced chicken or beef with beans and shredded lettuce. Time will tell!

A really handy tool for making tacos or Argentine empanadas.

Absolutely, I've never made and empanada, but will do so soon. Thanks for commenting.

What a cool gadget. I have a mini one for dumplings which I think is similar but I still havent used it lol

I have a small one and made Raspberry Hand Pies last week. Fun! I've been thinking about a dumpling one too!

That's a handy gadget. It looks like they would be far easier to eat. Plus it gave him another option for heating them.

Absolutely, he likes to fry them for crispyness over plain. Another storm is heading my way later tonight apparently.
