When I have plenty of bananas at home, I plan to make a special treat for the family—a super fluffy steamed banana cake with bananas as the star ingredient.

This sponge cake is perfect as an afternoon snack; we often crave a bite to eat in the late afternoon—usually between 3:00 and 4:00 PM—after having had lunch earlier in the day, as that is when hunger strikes and the urge to snack kicks in.

When I saw in the kitchen there was no other food besides bananas and eggs, so as a result I took 4 bananas, 2 eggs and I also took flour, margarine and cooking oil and there was also a little baking soda to make this dish. The process of making it is very simple; I just mixed it with a whisk because I no longer have a mixer.

My mixer broke a few days ago, so I was forced to just mix it by hand; however, if you want it to rise perfectly, you can use a mixer.

and even though all the world with the hands of this sponge cake is also very soft when we enjoy it because I have made this once before

and if you are curious about this steamed banana cake, you can see the recipe that I will share in my post today

manufacturing procedure

First

First, I peel the banana and then mash it with a fork; the texture depends on your preference. Personally, I like it not too smooth.

Third

After everything is even, I take the flour and sift it into the banana mixture and I keep stirring it again and then I put it in a baking pan to steam.

Next, I beat it for about 20 minutes, don't forget to check and correct the taste.

RESULTS

And here is the result: the cake rose perfectly and has a very soft texture, even without using a mixer. You can still taste the banana, and the texture is there too—I intentionally didn't mash the bananas completely smooth because I wanted to enjoy those bits of banana texture.

Enjoy this steamed banana sponge cake at home; I managed to make it perfectly, and I am absolutely delighted with the result. So, if you have bananas and eggs on hand, go ahead and make this cake—I’m sure you’ll love it (especially if you're a banana lover).
