Steamed Milk Chocolate Cake

Soft chocolate with a sweet flavor is really appetizing, enjoyed while hot when the cake is ready to be steamed.




Hi culinary lovers, who doesn't want to enjoy this super soft sponge without an oven. With a steamer you will get a blooming steamed sponge cake with simple ingredients of course. I found this recipe on social media some time ago. I was very curious about the simple ingredients and how using just one egg could create a perfectly fluffy and soft chocolate cup sponge cake.




Steamed Chocolate Cup Sponge Cake

Steamed cup sponge cake is another term for cupcake but in my area it is often known as steamed sponge cake. This sponge cake has a soft texture with a chocolatey flavor. The combination of all simple ingredients with fullcream milk mixture gives a different and extraordinary taste in my opinion. You have to try this, you can serve it for a special occasion at home or you can make it for your kids, guaranteed you will love it!.




Materials Used

250 grams flour
1 egg
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
250 ml fullcream milk
100 ml cooking oil
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
Chocolate color to taste




Cooking Procedure


Stir the eggs and sugar until evenly combined and the sugar dissolves, stirring gently with a wisk.

Then add vanilla powder and salt, then add liquid milk while stirring.

Add flour by sifting the flour into the kooked egg and stir again

Then add cocoa powder, mix until evenly distributed, then add soda and baking powder.

Add chocolate coloring, then stir until evenly distributed, finally add cooking oil until evenly mixed.

After the dough is ready, add the dough in the sponge cake, add it until it is full so that the sponge will bloom.

Steam on high heat for about 20 minutes. Well before steaming make sure the steamer is hot.

Chocolatey and perfect with a soft texture because it expands well for this sponge. The result is indeed uploading appetizing, I tried it one piece and it was not enough one. I have to add a portion this time, haha still I should not be too much. 2 pieces is very filling because it's so big. You know enjoying it when it's steamed while it's hot is that good. The cake is still very fresh, I love how it turned out.

The chocolate and the milk blend together perfectly. You know what? Today I made a super snack when my dad said that. He's so happy that it's not too sweet but it's soft enough that he can enjoy it easily. This kind of cake is what he wants the most.

Wow! I want to learn that dear because we love bread and I can change that to a cupcake. Sometimes I make a cupcake with macadamia nuts because it's good for kidneys.

Yeah cupcake and sponge cake are almost similar in the way they are served but I prefer to prepare cupcake because the preparation is simple!
