On Sunday morning around 6:30 am, my husband and I took a leisurely walk and jog along the city reservoir. The city reservoir is one of the favorite places to take a leisurely walk or jog. Surrounding the reservoir which is very cool with a view of the waves near the sea is very calming for me. Moreover, choosing an hour after dawn like this is the right choice, visitors are not too crowded there.
Right in the city center in Lhokseumawe, located in the city reservoir, the city center Lhokseumawe. This place is indeed the best favorite jogging spot for residents around the city. Besides jogging, my favorite target this morning was to explore the weekend culinary tourism festival held every Sunday in the city. This culinary tour is held on Sunday mornings at 08.00 until 12.000 noon until completion, well the event is also routinely held every week. Except for the month of Ramadan, during the whole month this culinary tour is held in the afternoon before breaking the fast.
That morning after jogging around the city reservoir for 5,000 steps and it was the first achievement for the first hehe. My husband and I continued to explore culinary tours, it was very fun indeed this had become my list before spending the day in the city. Lhokseumawe City is not far from my house, the distance is only 30 minutes away. But exploring here early in the morning was my first time this morning. My husband invited me to stay in this city which he lives in the area, coincidentally close to this culinary tour.
The first time I entered the area I was immediately greeted by the prima donna fruit, strawberries, I love this fruit. The sweet and sour flavor with a small, unique shape makes it very desirable. These are local strawberries, the fruit is smaller than the strawberries outside. They sell it at a pretty cheap price in one box for only IDR.10,000 and there is also a bigger box for IDR. 20.000.
The first culinary that made me curious was the healthy chicken noodles, these chicken noodles are without preservatives, but because I was so full I didn't focus on buying the noodles, I wanted a simple snack.
Then I was greeted by the stand of a gentleman who sold a variety of fried bread. He sells with his family and gives his stand name OHASHA like Japanese or Korean I don't understand this culinary. But clearly this is a type of bread, and with a variety of toppings and fillings.

I chose one of the various breads, namely sausage-filled fried bread, which is very cheap. Only IDR. 6000 for an amazing sausage-filled bun, which I thought was huge.

Well switch to fried bread next to it still lined up dozens of various other culinary, which is definitely very uploading the tastes of all. There are dim sum, fried ekado, risol, grilled rice, grilled meatballs, side dishes, mochi, milk crape, cake, empek-empek, and many other types.

But again, I had to choose just a few because I wouldn't be able to finish them all.
While walking through the various culinary delights, I noticed a man selling authentic wild honey. He showed me the original hives of the forest honey that he kept in a box container. Ahh this is my first time seeing this beehive directly and the original honey is very good. Sweet there is a little sour in it a distinctive taste of madj that is difficult for me to describe and maybe from your tongue is different.
The seller was very friendly he explained the origin of this forest honey taken and the process, even he dared to give us to taste it.
After seeing the honey I didn't buy it because the price is quite expensive for a small bottle alone reaching IDR. 200,000. maybe I will buy it next time for the original honey. I saw a vendor selling Acehnese caluek noodles complete with a variety of caluek noodle friends, namely a very large bakwan with shrimp topping on it. I bought 3 pcs of the big bakwan for IDRM 2,000 per pcs.

It was so nice that the mother was so friendly she was happy to take a picture with me. Hehe thank you mom for want enter my content.
Regional specialties are always a favorite on weekends, with many people queuing to buy savory rice breakfasts with a variety of side dishes. This is indeed very tempting, but I've cooked at home it's impossible for me to buy rice again. The side dishes are plentiful with a variety of menus there from meat rendang to egg balado is very complete.
In addition to the side dishes, look at the typical Acehnese food this one is also not missed, Timphan is the target of many people with a variety of very tempting fillings ranging from coconut to crimson. Timphan has always been special everywhere and the favorite of almost all Acehnese.
Viral snacks will not be left out either, lately dim sum, shusi and even many other types of cakes are the target of many young people now. Moreover, millennial food like this is very in demand and favored by many young people.
Can't say no to doughnuts, ahhh this is very tempting to me and the shape is cute and the pasta is very big, this is a jumbo potato doughnut the size is very big. From the looks of it, it's very soft and delicious. And what I really want to try all the variants are so tempting me the price varies depending on the toppings we want.

I chose to buy a donut with chocolate seres topping because it is definitely very tempting the chocolate is very abundant, the unit price is IDR. 6000 very cheap because it is still a street food price for its snacks.
Well, the snacks are ready to buy, look at my baggage, it's a lot, I'll enjoy it at home.
The people are getting more and more crowded here, the locals like to have snacks here every weekend. Besides, the food is very complete from breakfast, snacks, to lunch is also available so I think inj is a place that you must visit during the weekend.
Before I left, at the very last area there were also vendors other than food, selling various crafts, flowers and even toys and accessories. Everything is so complete I think this city is indeed making a center to advance local umkm in this business field. It was fantastic and I really liked it this.
Arriving home I immediately opened my snack box, it wasn't much but it made me so full that I couldn't even finish it in one sitting.
The food was all delicious, especially the bite by bite fried bread. The donant is super soft and not greasy, I love it. They sell very tasty and interesting products.

The bakwan is also good, it's just that I think it's a little oily, maybe the dough is super soft, so it makes the bakwan more oily.
As I said, the strawberries were sweet and sour but very tasty, and I thought it would be great to juice them with milk and ice cubes during the day.
My trip to culinary tourism was honestly very pleasant, and I highly recommend you to visit here. Because the place is comfortable, and of course the culinary is complete, I'm sure for you foodies this is a heavenly place that you should try.
