I love your onigiri creations! that reminds me I need to get the mold for it because I find myself eating them a lot lately and buying it from convenience store isn't really the healthiest option.

It’s common to buy it from convenience stores in Japan while people make it by themselves 😁 Some preservatives are inside when we buy it outside but quite pure ingredients. So if I buy lunch from a convenience store, it’s definitely my option 🍙
(But it costs triple in Germany so I make it by myself mostly also for fun.)

That's the same here, they're definitely added with preservatives too and sometimes the filling isn't something I enjoy eating. Also, I can imagine how costly it must've been in Germany to eat onigiri hehe
