Our crazy one-night trip flying up to Johannesburg, Gauteng, to see the exciting Irish tap-dancing extravaganza Lord of the Dance in Pretoria, ended on a morning-after spoil of a full breakfast, which was included in our accommodation. We could order from their scrumptious a la carte breakfast menu and also had the choice of helping ourselves to the buffet table laden with delicious continental breakfast fare: yogurts, cereals, cold cuts, cheeses, croissants, and other pastries, crumpets, sliced fresh fruit, and freshly squeezed fruit juices.
We started with a good cappuccino while deciding what to order.
An attractive fireplace sits in the centre of the cosy indoor dining area with comfy chairs, adding warmth to a slightly chilly morning.

The small bar for those needing something a tipple or two, and a selection of good wines to choose from for leisurely brunches, lunches, or for cosy dinners.

Some in our party chose a hearty traditional English breakfast of bacon, sausages with caramelised onions, hash browns, fried mushrooms, grilled tomatoes drizzled with basil pesto, perfectly cooked sunny-side eggs, and toast.
Something I nearly chose, which my friend had, was Brioche French toast topped with blueberries, strawberries, caramelised banana, honeycomb, ginger crumble, and maple syrup, served with mascarpone creme; pure indulgence!
Diving into my Egg Benedict - eggs perfectly done and served on an English muffin (in Africa), sautéed spinach, cherry tomatoes, smoked salmon, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce.
How is that for a bill - all zeros after the ZAR, all thanks to a Hive friend's Great Getaway Gift! Thank you @edenmichelle❤️

Special times are created when you surround yourself with good company, good food, and the right venue! Need not be a fancy venue; it could even be right at home!
Ours started at home with a load of spoils. Firstly, my brother arranged the chauffeur pick-up, flights, fabulous accommodation thanks to my Hive friend, and a delicious dinner at a vibey Italian Grill and Bar, the exhilarating Irish dance show, ending with a scrumptious breakfast the morning after.
We were exhausted after a late night and walking what felt like a never-ending 'journey' to get to our boarding gates, but we were all in high spirits after a weekend filled with good food, thrills, and laughter; special times creating lasting memories!
