I think this is their Christmas decor that's why I was a bit surprised. Their restaurant area isn't that big, so I guess it fills up pretty quick. It's great you got in. The evening views are much nicer!! ( Even though a couple of your images didn't load)
Ugh, I see the not loading problem now. I've created an issue for it on gitlab already: https://gitlab.syncad.com/hive/imagehoster/-/issues/17 but might want to try and focus on it. I know a workaround and will try and apply it so you can see it.
Being seated on the bar at the window was great! The whole time was just outside views. Looking forward to going back. There was another fancy restaurant with a view in London that I wanted to try, but that was much more expensive. I feel like this is a good balance, and for what they are, these guys are worth the cost.
I heard the Shard has great views as well it's on the south side of the river, looking back to the city on the north, but I've never been up. Next time you're in London, try the Horizon 22 that I linked above in my post. Thats an indoors viewing platform with incredible views, and it's free😄
Gong/Ting at the Shard was the other restaurant I mentioned 😀. LMK if you ever get to try it, definitely want to see other's perspective on it.
I actually missed out on another viewing platform in London. I forgot what it was called, but it was on my "you should check this out" list from a coworker who lived in London earlier this year. Was supposed to be free(though I hear that a lot of London buildings have to have free viewing platforms) but I got there after they'd closed and couldn't check it out :(. Definitely need another London trip haha.
That would be Sky Garden. They open up free tickets 3 weeks in advance but I hear sometimes you can walk in on the day. I tried last week but it was so busy outside

The Shard is quite pricey I heard, so still haven't been up. I hear my old company moved their HQ up there, sadly I'm not in contact with any old colleagues anymore
