Hello foodie lovers. Today I'm going to share to you an extraordinary food that can be eaten twice or once a year in my hometown. Corn are seasonal crops and my father will plant it twice or once a year depends on the weather calendar and predictions.

After harvesting that afternoon, my brothers then gathered coconut charcoal and started to light the fire. This is the coal perfect for grilling because of its sustained hot surface and it's slow to turn ashes. This is also very accessible to the countryside area. We don't buy charcoal because my father had a very big charcoal business so my brother just grabbed some.

I just grab some pieces of it so we can have something to bring home.

Then my father helped me to grill these corns. We tried opening first then grilled and we also tried grilling it with the leaves on it. Grilling with the leaves helps the corn softer without burning. While grilling it without the leaves can make burns and this way is faster but not too cook or soft.

While we grilled it we took some pictures and my husband had tried one. He is very excited to eat it.

And this is the finish product. It's very chewy. The age of the corn is perfect for grilling. This is good with other cheese powder, cheese sauce and other sauces but because this is an unplanned we just go with the flow. However it was fast and fun. It was so hot that I burnt all the hair in my skin of the hands. Hahaha. But overall the experience was so good. It's already evening when we arrive home back at my husband's house.
That's all for today hivers. Thank you so much for reading my blog. I hope you like grilled corn too.
