Hello hivers, hello food lovers of this amazing community. How are you today? As I was scrolling along the blogs here, everything is very delicious, delight, sweet and some are spicy. Today I'm going to share to you one of my favorite seaweed salad. I went to the grocery store to buy some milk and diaper for my kids and I saw many vendors in front or the store and a lot of people are gathering there so my brother said that it's their traditional that fish vendors gather around this place to sell fish and other seafoods and I was very eager to see some and looking forward for guso or lato to have salad.

There are so many kinds of seaweed actually but this spiny seaweed is the most common and most accessible in our place. Though we are far away from the sea but fishermen are very hardworking to come to our mountain to sell seafoods.

First thing to do is to wash the seaweed very well or many times then boil the seaweed. The secret for s perfect boil seaweed is let the water boils first then add the seaweed. Always stir while it's boiling then remove it from heat after 3 minutes. Then wash it with cold water. In this way it's cooked but it's crunchyness can be preserved because of the cold water. Then let it dry. My mother loves the very cooked, while I loved the half cooked.

Then O prepare the spices needed for the salad. Lots of onions, ginger and tomatoes. It must be nice if there is onion leaves but we don't have it yet so I just put lots of onions. Then the calamansi will be added later for the sourness of the mixture.

After slicing everything, I added salt and msg at a right amount and mix it well then tasted. Then add lots of vinegar and lastly the clamansi drops. My mother loves putting a little sugar in it but this time I don't like to have sugar.

Then I add the boiled seaweed on the sauce. Mix it well and set aside for 5 minutes. I love it cold so I put it in the refrigerator for sometime. I just clean the table and prepare a rice so I can start eating.

Now heres the finish product. It's colorful and beautiful. Ive been craving a lot of this. I think the last time I had eaten seaweed is 5 months ago that's why I savored eating it today. I love how crunchy it is and the sourness is really appetizing. I don't know but I love sour recipes.
How about you have you tried this seaweed recipe? Or do you have any seaweed available in your place? How do you cook it? I would really love to know it in the comment section.

We also have seaweed here in our place but the texture is different, but I think they have the same taste. Seaweeds are only available here in our place occasionally like every Sunday. Because the sea was far from us. Anyway. You shared a fantastic recipe of seaweed salad. 😊❤️

I see because there are so many kinds of it. Here in my hometown it's not everyday that we have seaweed too. Maybe twice a week or once
