I found the recipe very interesting and the final look is appealing, but I found it difficult to some of the ingredients. Can this goat cheese be substituted for regular cheese? I've never heard of this mascarpone cheese in my life, so I had to search online. Can it be substituted for cream cheese? The consistency seems to be identical.

Ahh... then you can call it another name!
There is the regular ham and any type of cheese roll up:

Or the Ham and cream cheese roll up:

Or Ham with cream cheese and pickle spears:

Or simple Ham and cheese roll up with whatever!
