When I was still in Bangkok, they said Bangkok has one place that is quite famous right now. My friend told me that there is a cafe that I have to try, especially for those who like Thai tea. At first I was pessimistic, this cafe is really very crowded, in my mind it was just FOMO. Is that true? That's why I finally tried it.
There are 2 cafes in Bangkok, located at Icon Siam and Siam Square, but I chose to try the cafe in Siam Square, because this time I didn't have a route to the Icon Siam area which was quite far, so I chose the closest one from my travel route. At Siam Square, it's quite easy to get there.
This cafe is in a building that has 3 floors. From the 1st floor, we will be given directions to go to the 2nd floor, indeed the serving in this cafe is on the 2nd floor. It is very crowded, I even saw that there were no empty chairs and tables, at most only for a short while and then there will be a waiting list that comes in.
I like their concept that feels like omakase, you can see the barista and the servers serving food and coffee. The open kitchen that displays attractions, especially the baristas and servers look very neat and quite handsome. It seems that being a barista here is quite difficult, you have to have a plus point in your appearance.
Of all the menus, I ordered Thai tea steamed soft bun and a glass of latte. I think these two menus will be very suitable to enjoy. The price of the food and drinks here is quite pricey for me, but of course worth it with the incomparable taste.
For Thai tea steamed soft bun, they will serve it very fresh, where it will be opened shortly after being steamed and hot enough to be eaten directly. I hope you have to wait a while so as not to hurt your tongue, it can burn and it hurts. We are looking for delicious food to enjoy, not to torture ourselves.
Thai tea steamed soft bun is given 2 dipping sauces, a white cream that tastes fatter, not too sweet and I really like it. But, one other dipping sauce tastes very thick from Thai tea. They can make a delicious sauce like this, I don't know how. But I think it is indeed second to none. Do they sell the Thai tea sauce? I really want to take it home.
There is no filling in the bread, it relies on the sauce they provide on the small plate. For me it is very little, because the bread is quite big and can be eaten by 2 people.
The atmosphere of the cafe adds a plus, crowded but calm. I like the concept they have. I think if I go to Bangkok again, I will come back.

Call me Isdarmady, sometimes Mady, Putra or anything you want. I have a pretty long name but call me very nicely. There are many things I like, especially hydroponics and coffee, sometimes I also like traveling and eating whatever I want. Life should be like that, there must be many things you like so you can live well. Of course, what you want is a dream, so, when you have a dream then what you have to do is to achieve that dream, don't just let it be a dream.
