I saw a long queue at a fast food restaurant on one of the streets in the middle of the city. I thought it was quite strange, why did people want to eat food that seemed so ordinary. But I had FOMO and joined the queue that afternoon, I was really curious too. The reason is, I see this queue every day, it is never quiet even on weekdays, especially at lunch and dinner hours.
Waiting for almost 30 minutes and I was not really hungry at that time, so I tried to get in line and sit at one of the tables. It turns out they serve fried chicken similar to McDonald's and KFC, but it turns out to be different. This fried chicken is not ordinary.
Almaz Fried Chicken, claims to be the number 1 Saudi fried chicken in Indonesia. Maybe similar to the AL Baik brand and the like. I became very curious why they were so different. But, the first bite I understood the reason.
Saudi fried chicken, looks interesting because as you can see I am holding a chicken that looks very colorful inside. This is fried chicken with a very strong Middle Eastern spice aroma. Never knew before that fried chicken like this existed and had a strong taste.
Although the initial shape is like ordinary fried chicken, in terms of chicken marination, it is clearly very different. Oh, so this is what Saudi fried chicken tastes like. Of course I like the soft texture of the chicken due to the long marination. The spices that are felt in every bite, even until the end of the chicken pieces, are still very strongly aromatic from coriander, pepper, cloves and many more.
Not only does it taste good, it turns out that there is another thing that makes this fried chicken provide additional value. The price! Wow, this does not match the taste and quality of the chicken in my opinion. Shouldn't a bucket of 4 pieces of chicken and one portion of potatoes cost more than 10 dollars? Well, at Almaz Fried Chicken I only got it for 4.5 dollars including tax. Wow, it's so amazing price in this economy. Are they burning money? Of course I don't understand why the price can be that cheap.
While eating fried chicken piece by piece, I looked around the cozy restaurant and all the seats were already full of visitors. I tried to finish eating quickly because I had to take turns with other people, seeing the queue was so long, I had to think about others not to be selfish.
In this economy, trying to find delicious food but still quality and cheap is a solution, even though I have to waste time to get in line. Do you think this is worth buying?
