This Friday night, I felt like eating something I don’t often have, so I went to a place that offers something different from my usual meals. Tonight’s choice? Thai food!
If you’ve ever compared Thai cuisine to others, you’ll notice how unique it is in so many ways. The taste, texture, and bold flavors truly stand out.
It’s a good thing Thai food is popular in my city. There are plenty of restaurants scattered across town—even along the outskirts. As I was passing by the Beach Road area, I decided to have dinner at one of the popular spots for Thai cuisine: Diandin Leluk Restaurant. They serve a modern fusion of Thai and local Singaporean dishes.
They have a variety of dishes on their menu that all look incredibly tasty. However, I had already made up my mind to go for the most popular item… the Pad Thai! LOL.
Among the many cook-to-order dishes, they also offer pre-cooked items and snacks displayed on the counter. I was fascinated by the deep-fried fish, pre-packed with condiments, being sold as well. I couldn’t help but wonder what they taste like, especially since they’d been sitting out for quite a while. Maybe they use natural preservatives to keep them fresh? I didn’t dare try the pre-cooked dishes though—I definitely prefer my food freshly made!
The ordering system is quite efficient. I just had to scan the QR code, select the dish I wanted, and place the order.
I received my food in good time—within 15 minutes—so I was pretty happy about that. It’s the perfect timing when you’re starving!
Just like at any other Thai restaurant, a set of condiments is provided in case you want to add more intensity to the seasoning. I must say, Thai cuisine has some of the strongest seasonings compared to other cuisines. But the good thing is that there’s a perfect balance of tastes and flavors—I'm really impressed! 👍 😁
Overall, my experience at Diandin Leluk was a delightful one. The combination of fresh, flavorful dishes and the efficient ordering system made for a satisfying meal. If you're looking to enjoy a modern twist on traditional Thai and local flavors, this place is definitely worth a visit!
