oooooh I've been eyeing ice-cream cakes actually! Cost-wise, they do make sense, but there are so many considerations when it comes to storage etc. Besides. As much as I moan, I actually love making these cakes and challenging myself creatively!
Aaah, I see, so with a bit of planning, I guess the logistics aren't too bad.I mean, I'll eat ice-cream even when it's pouring down with rain! We used to have a special spot where we would buy the best soft serve ever and walk, in the rain, home while gobbling them. I think they were 80c at the time!
Really fancy homemade ice-cream cakes from a local ice-cream shop those years, so tasty, excellent decor done to suit the occasion.
oooooh my! I had one ice-cream cake growing up. My mom threw me one of my preschool parties at King Cake and I got a ride in the Royal Carriage, I got to wear a cape and a crown and I got a Garfield Ice-cream Cake!
They were super trendy during the 80-90s, once I found them I supported small local shop that has now been gone for many years.
Oh wow! I did not know that. I was mostly into glam rock etc. Honestly though, I'm a 1985 baby so I was too young to remember much of the 80s
Make your own and add to your sales list, people love homemade! Attached are two recipes for you to try, my Mom made homemade ice-cream which never lasted long in a home of six.
