We just have other idea for warming our stomach from the cold weather. And, that's to crave for newly cooked grilled pork, fresh lettuce, fermented raddish and Kimchi. So instead of cooking a soup or brewing coffee, we waited until the storm was gone to go outside and satisfy our cravings. After few storms that passed and heavily poured throughout the week, we were also looking forward for a fine weather and most importantly, the sunset.
The best place for all of this to happen at once would be at the Baywalk Area. Since the rain had gone, the sun is scorching hot. For convenience, we went there mid-afternoon. It would be a good hour to be there since there isn't much crowd yet and we don't have to wait in the queue to get vacant table in the restaurant. Few minutes before the sunset, it's often where people surge in to watch at the bay area or eat out.

As usual, before anyone could get in the vicinity, they have to pay an entrance fee which is Php 20 for children, PWD and Senior Citizens, then Php 30 for regular visitors. I believe that is for the maintenance and security of the place. On the left side of the place, there's a newly built Cafe on the ground floor and a Resto Bar at the top. I've seen it beforehand on some videos shared by the influencers on Facebook. The view of the sunset on that angle is truly mesmerizing, that's why people also flocks in there.
I'll drop by there next time, then. But for now, we're headed to the grill on the opposite side of the area. As we arrived, we took seats and dropped our orders. The staff was fast enough to setup the the grill on our table and deliver the meat and side dishes. Unfortunately, they ran out of Kimchi on that hour and only have radish for the side dish. It's around 3:00 pm already but the sun was still up high. As we grill the meat on the pan, the sun was also cooking my back. If not for the food, I would have gone somewhere else.
Few minutes have gone by, we're more focused on the food now than the sun glowing on my back. Then, later on, someone started singing under the coconut tree which caught all the attention. he was requested by the stores to keep the place lively. There were few visitors who jammed with him with few songs and left the audience in awe. One of the jammers that I liked there was the old lady, she sang a Ben & Ben song confidently and hit the notes perfectly. I can say that she's a veteran with singing in the crowd.
We grilled and ate until we're too full. The gave way for the new customers who were now in queue. We seated ourselves on the bay to have a closer of the people joining the jamming session in the front. Even the couple beside have joined, she was very shy at first and we coaxed her to have the courage to unleash her talents. They're strangers but we're cheering for them because most of them up there was being nervous but after singing few lines, they're already slaying on the platform.
I've even posted some of the videos on my Facebook page for safekeeping. And of course, I wouldn't forget watching the sunset before we leave the place. It was just simply beautiful to have enjoy good food while having fun. This is also one reason why I'm going back to this place over and over again.
Anyway, thanks for being here until the end of this blog. Have a great day!
