Breakfast Menus Without Rice

in Foodies Bee Hive19 hours ago

For us Indonesians, we seem to have an overabundance of rice, which naturally leads to many problems, one of which is diabetes. The idea, instilled since childhood, is that we must eat rice three times a day. If we don't eat rice, we will suffer from stomach aches because our stomachs aren't filled with "heavy" food.

Nowadays, of course, there's a lot of education, especially with the advent of social media. People are starting to reduce their rice intake and adopt a healthier lifestyle.

At breakfast, people usually eat heavy meals, high in carbohydrates but low in protein. However, their work doesn't require a lot of energy, which leads to an overabundance of carbohydrates, which can negatively impact their health.

Well, at first, it wasn't easy for my husband and I to change our breakfast habits. But slowly, we got used to it, and we managed.

The following breakfast menus are what I usually make. With these menus, I even feel fresher, fitter, and less sleepy in the morning!

A hard-boiled egg, with sliced avocado sprinkled with chia seeds and olive oil. Then, an extra serving of vegetables from my garden. A bowl of spinach and tomato clear soup.

This dish even keeps you feeling fuller until noon!

Meanwhile, other times, if I just want something simple, without a lot of time in the kitchen, I just prepare sliced avocado, with eggs, and some dates.

Dates are also a great source of energy and fiber. They add a delicious flavor overall ♥️

And about the bananas! I steamed the bananas, and the eggs too. So it didn't take much time.

Arrange them on a serving plate. With avocado for good fats that are also delicious. It adds a creamy texture to the overall taste of my breakfast ♥️ Having good avocados is a blessing.

To avoid getting bored, of course, I have to have a lot of variety. I also make time in the kitchen to make a somewhat complicated breakfast like this one. It takes me quite a while to prepare the grated coconut topping.

I have to grate the coconut first. Then, I cook the grated coconut with spicy spices.

While the spiced coconut is being prepared, I steam the accompanying vegetables, like long beans, mung bean sprouts, tempeh, and potatoes.

It's quite time-consuming in the kitchen, but it can be done once in a while for a satisfying variety of meals. For example, I only do it on weekends, not every day.

It's a bit complicated, but satisfying, especially for me, who loves spicy flavors. ♥️

Stay healthy, everyone ♥️ see you

That all looks so healthy and fresh.

It is hard to make huge changes in lifelong diets, but it is always good when you can make it work.

Needed time to be consistent ☺️

A super delicious healthy breakfast—everything I love.

You have to try it for sure ♥️

Oh, that breakfast is a champion’s one for me. I could cycle loads of kilometres after that. My mouth is watering. Here I’ve already seen avocados on the street vendors’ tables, but I haven’t bought any yet.

Cheers!

You have to find big luck to find good avocado ehehe

Wonderful
Super
Excellent
I've already eaten like this, and it's been great for weight loss. I recommend these healthy breakfasts to everyone, but I'd add two more eggs.

Nice

Thank you ☺️

Hello, dear friend @anggreklestari.

It's great to know you're having healthier breakfasts, and especially that you and your husband are getting into the habit.

Congratulations! This recipe looks delicious, nutritious, and healthy.

Have a wonderful day!

I live in Asia too an my wife is always oversupplying the rice making me all fat. I like your style, but you got to have at least a little bit of rice right? Have you tried "black rice"? It was only allowed for royalty back in the day so you know it's good.
