For the gold dust, have you thought of stealing one of @zakludick's softest sable modelling brushes and using that to apply it ? Of course, the brush will then be yours forever, because it'll be permanently contaminated with gold dust and will just need to live in a ziplock bag until next time you're doing gold 😁
