Years ago, we bought several boxes of potatoes from a local potato farmer and put them in our pump house to stay cool.
Not enough air circulation, not really cool enough as our pump house is connected to our house.
Ended up with everything sprouting….

Nice thing with potatoes is you can pull off the sprouted tendrils and plant just them. If the soil is moist they will put out roots. I had hundreds of pounds that did so last winter so they are what I planted this year. You get more potatoes if planting an actual spud but the tendrils do work.
