Greetings friends of @silverbloggers, I hope you have an excellent and blessed day. This is my entry for the initiative The SB Chronicles Prompt #25 - Absolute Favourite Meal. Choosing a favorite food isn't as simple as it seems, because I like several, but there are some that I must avoid for health reasons. In previous years, my answer would have been spaghetti. I love spaghetti in all its forms, but because of the healthy diet I must follow, I can't consume it in large quantities.

One of my favorite meals, which I love for its combination of vegetables, flavors, and aromas, is stir-fried vegetables with chicken strips. It's a simple dish to prepare and rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals. To make it, I like to use celery, leeks, carrots, onions, and bell peppers because, in addition to adding a beautiful color, they provide important vitamins for the body's function. It's a dish I can eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and it can be served with a small arepa, cassava bread, toasted bread, or pita bread.

For variations, you can substitute some ingredients, or add others like zucchini, eggplant, potato, and others. It's one of the dishes I've eaten most in recent years, and I love its flavor. To prepare it, you can cut the chicken into strips, add garlic and salt, let it marinate for several minutes, and then sauté it with the vegetables. To sauté it, I like to put the vegetables over low heat so that I can extract the juice, and then add the chicken with this juice to infuse it with this delicious flavor. Although in this case, it wouldn't be a sauté, but rather chicken with vegetables.

Another option is to bake them; baked food is delicious. You place the vegetables on a tray, then the chicken, and leave it to cook until the chicken is golden brown or according to each person's taste. It's a dish that I personally like a lot, and it adapts to different meals of the day depending on the side dish the person wants to add.

Consuming protein is very important, as it provides energy and allows us to perform our daily activities. Another food I like is the tortilla, to which I add vegetables. A vegetable tortilla is a good dish to start the day with energy. Its preparation is also simple: cut the vegetables according to your preference into julienne strips or slices, beat the eggs, mix them with the vegetables, and cook in a pan over medium heat. Flip it, checking that it is cooked on both sides. To serve it, cassava bread or toasted bread are ideal. The ever-present arepa, a staple in Venezuelan cuisine, is also an excellent accompaniment.

As I mentioned at the beginning, choosing a favorite dish isn't so simple, but among all the dishes we prepare, there's always one we like the most. Maybe it's not because of the flavor, but because of the nutrients it provides.

Speaking of sweets, I also love desserts, and chocolate is my favorite. I have to limit my consumption, but when I have the chance, I enjoy a delicious chocolate dessert. Sometimes I indulge a little, even though I know I shouldn't eat it, and I risk eating a delicious treat. To be honest, it's impossible to resist these pastry delights, hehe.
