Because one birthday celebration is never enough when you're a kid, we kept the party going with another special dinner for my son—this time at Savory, SM Angono. It's become a little tradition of ours to celebrate not just once, but multiple times, in different ways, and with different people. And what better way to do it than with good food and family?
🍽️ The Feast Begins
Savory never disappoints when it comes to Filipino comfort food, and we made sure to order all our favorites. It felt like a mini fiesta on our table!
Saucy Pancit – flavorful, rich, and cooked just right, a birthday must-have that symbolizes long life.
Lechon Kawali – golden, crispy, and tender inside—this was gone in minutes!
Crispy Tofu – simple but so satisfying, with that perfect crunch outside and softness inside.
Seafood Fried Rice – loaded with flavor and bits of seafood that made every spoonful exciting.
Chicken Shanghai and Cracklings – crunchy, meaty, and bite-sized delights that both kids and adults couldn't get enough of.
But for the birthday boy, it was all about his favorite meal...
🍗 A Special Treat for the Birthday Boy
Even in a sea of delicious dishes, my son only had eyes for his all-time favorite: Jollibee Chickenjoy! We brought his beloved Jollibee meal just for him—because no celebration is complete without it in his eyes. That big smile on his face while enjoying his crispy, juicy chicken was the real highlight of the night.
🥰 More Than Just a Meal
More than the food, it was about being together—sharing laughter, stories, and simply enjoying each other's company. Birthdays are a beautiful excuse to slow down and make memories, and that’s exactly what we did.
We’re so grateful for another chance to celebrate our son’s life, his growth, and all the happiness he brings to our family. These extended birthday dinners might seem small, but they’re filled with love—and that’s what truly matters.
Until the next celebration. 💛
