in Hive Food6 hours ago

Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
How are you all? I hope you are doing well. Alhamdulillah, I am also doing well. Today, I am sharing a very delicious and easy sweet dish recipe with you. This dessert is called Shahi Tukda. It is rich, creamy, and full of flavor. You can make it with simple ingredients that are easily available at home. It is perfect for family gatherings, parties, Eid, or whenever you want to enjoy something sweet. So, let's get started!
For this recipe, you will need bread slices, oil for frying, full cream milk or milk made from milk powder, custard powder, sugar, and a few strands of saffron. These are the basic ingredients. If you have pistachios, almonds, or cashews, you can also use them for garnishing.

First, prepare the milk mixture. If you are using milk powder, mix it with water to make thick full cream milk. Now take a small bowl and mix the custard powder with a little water until there are no lumps. Add this mixture to the milk. Then add sugar according to your taste. Finally, add a few strands of saffron to give the dessert a beautiful color and a wonderful aroma.

Place the pan on low heat and cook the mixture while stirring continuously. Keep stirring so that the custard does not stick to the bottom of the pan. Cook until the mixture becomes smooth, creamy, and thick. Once it reaches a rich custard consistency, turn off the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

Now take the bread slices and cut each slice into four triangle pieces. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the bread pieces one by one until they become golden brown and crispy on both sides. Remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel to absorb the extra oil.

Now it is time to assemble the dessert. Arrange a layer of crispy fried bread in a serving dish. Pour some of the prepared custard over the bread so that every piece is covered. Add another layer of fried bread and again pour custard over it. Repeat this process until all the bread and custard are used.

For the final touch, garnish the Shahi Tukda with saffron strands. If you have chopped pistachios, almonds, or cashews, sprinkle them on top. I did not use these nuts because I did not have them at home, but they make the dessert look even more beautiful and taste even better.
Your delicious homemade Shahi Tukda is now ready to serve. You can enjoy it warm, but it tastes even better after chilling it in the refrigerator for one or two hours. The crispy bread absorbs the creamy custard and becomes incredibly soft and flavorful.

This recipe is perfect for any occasion. Whether you are serving guests, celebrating a special event, preparing a dessert for your family, or packing a sweet surprise for your children, this Shahi Tukda is always a great choice.
