What I Ate at the Food Bazaar

Hi bloggers and food lovers, today I attended a local food bazaar in one of the mall parking lots in Medan. There were a variety of food stalls, offering everything from savory to sweet treats.

My friend and I went to the food bazaar to see what looked interesting to try, and here are some of the snacks we had food platters to fried jackfruit.

First, we stopped by a stall selling meatballs and tofu. They sold the kinds of snacks I usually see at street stalls: meatballs, several types of tofu, and steamed dumplings served with curry broth and sauce. The flavor was spicy, with a rich aroma of spices and curry that was a real treat for the taste buds.

Next, I bought “tahu gejrot”—this dish is one of my comfort foods. It consists of fried tofu cut into pieces and drizzled with a seasoned sauce made from a mixture of shallots, garlic, chili peppers, and palm sugar. The taste is a perfect blend of savory, spicy, and sweet.

We also ordered food platters, we had french fries, fried nuggets, fried eggs, and fried dim sum, all topped with mayonnaise and spicy sauce. This dish is a favorite among many people, and it was the first item on our menu to be completely finished.

Another item on our menu is this long dim sum. It’s made from ground chicken mixed with vegetables, steamed, and topped with a spicy and creamy mayo sauce. It’s savory, spicy, chewy, and meaty after eating this, you’ll feel full

For dessert, we chose fried jackfruit and chocolate cheese-coated fried bananas. This was a menu that my friend recommended. This was my first time trying fried jackfruit, coated in flour then fried, turned out to be delicious. The sweet taste of the jackfruit paired with the chocolate and grated cheese topping was a great combination.

Okay, that’s it for this food hunt. See you next time
