Homemade Ice Cream Cones

in Hive Foodyesterday (edited)

Hi bloggers and food lovers! Today I’m making an extra-sweet, cold, and fun treat and this time, I’m making everything from scratch, from the cones to the ice cream. You can adjust the sweetness to your taste, it turns out to be really easy to make, and you don’t need too many ingredients. This is my entry for this week’s Qurator's: Hive Top Chef! hosted by @qurator. Okay, let’s get right to it.

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 30 ml coconut milk
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1/2 tsp emulsifier
  • chocolate bar
  • piping bag

Instructions:

  • Add the sugar, cornstarch, and coconut milk to a saucepan

  • Add the milk to the saucepan

  • Stir all the ingredients until well combined

  • Turn on the heat and stir continuously until it boils and thickens

  • Once cooled, transfer to a container and place in the freezer for at least 7 hours

  • While waiting for the ice cream to freeze, place chocolate pieces into a piping bag

  • Dip the bag into hot water until the chocolate melts

  • Once soft, spread the chocolate evenly inside the piping bag to form a cone

  • Freeze the chocolate in the freezer until solid

  • After 7 hours or more, transfer the solidified ice cream to a bowl

  • Add the melted emulsifier

  • Mix the ice cream mixture until it becomes fluffy and thick

  • Spoon the ice cream mixture into the homemade chocolate cones

  • Freeze the ice cream again until solid

  • Once frozen, remove the chocolate cone from the piping bag

  • The homemade ice cream cone is ready to eat

This ice cream cone is more tasty and crispy compared to the ice cream cones in the supermarket.

It's a new thing, right? You need to try this one 😀
