Recuerdo la primera vez que comí sushi, tendría unos 12 años más o menos. Fue mi hermana quien me llevó esa vez, casualmente a Bonsai Sushi, una franquicia bastante famocita por este lado del charco. Para aquel entonces a mí joven paladar le pareció una explosión de sabores y texturas de lo más exquisitas y desde ese momento se convirtió en una de esas comidas que adoras con el corazón, pero qué por el mismo hecho de que te gustan tanto evitas comerla con frecuencia para que te la sensación de repetitividad no te invada y que después te termine dando un poco igual.
Este recuerdo viene siempre a mí mente cada vez que voy a comer sushi especialmente en este local. Hace unas cuantas semanas visité la sede de Bonsai Sushi que se encuentra en el Sambil La Candelaria. Realmente no sabía que en ese rincón de la feria del centro comercial (llamada Zona Gourmet) estaba este local que me pareció mucho más grande y bonito que las otras sedes que se encuentran distribuidas en mi muchos de los centros comerciales de la ciudad.
Lo bueno de Bonsai es que tiene promociones interesantes de Lunes a Viernes, así como esta promo que quisimos comprar en esta ocasión: 10 piezas por $6. Probamos el Himura Roll en dónde destacaba el atún tempurizado, la salsa de anguila, el queso crema y toque con ajonjolí. El Subaru Roll de pescado blanco empanizado con salsa picante con tope de camarón también estuvo interesante. Diez piezas quizás podrían parecer mucho, pero para alguien como yo que come bastante esto resulta apenas un aperitivo 🤣, además que la combinación de tantos sabores interesantes te termina resultando adictiva y te lleva a querer comer más de 10 piezas, pero quizás ya eso sería caer en la gula.
Sin duda, este fue mi mejor Momento Foodie del mes pasado. Ya veremos cuando vuelvo a visitar nuevamente Bonsai para ir por alguna otra promoción interesante.

At that time my young palate found it an explosion of flavors and textures of the most exquisite and from that moment on it became one of those foods that you adore with your heart, but because you like them so much you avoid eating them frequently so that the feeling of repetitiveness does not invade you and then you end up feeling a little bit the same.
This memory always comes to my mind every time I go to eat sushi, especially in this place. A few weeks ago I visited Bonsai Sushi located in the Sambil La Candelaria. I really did not know that in that corner of the mall fair (called Zona Gourmet) was this place that seemed to me much bigger and nicer than the other locations that are distributed in my many of the malls in the city.
The good thing about Bonsai is that they have interesting promotions from Monday to Friday, like this promo that we wanted to buy this time: 10 pieces for $6. We tried the Himura Roll with tempura tuna, eel sauce, cream cheese and a touch of sesame seeds. The Subaru Roll of breaded white fish with spicy sauce and shrimp topping was also interesting. Ten pieces might seem like a lot, but for someone like me who eats a lot this is just an appetizer 🤣, plus the combination of so many interesting flavors ends up being addictive and makes you want to eat more than 10 pieces, but maybe that would be gluttony.
Without a doubt, this was my best Foodie Moment of the past month. We'll see when I visit Bonsai again to go for another interesting promotion.
