In this tasty journey through the culinary world, I have always tried to expand my horizons, looking for those places where good food is not at odds with an affordable price. Today I want to tell you about a place that undoubtedly managed to conquer me: Boosters Valencia, located in the Metrópolis Shopping Center, in the city of Valencia, Venezuela.
En este sabroso viaje por el mundo culinario, siempre he tratado de expandir mis horizontes, buscando esos rincones donde la buena comida no está reñida con un precio accesible. Hoy quiero contarles sobre un sitio que sin duda logró conquistarme: Boosters Valencia, ubicado en el Centro Comercial Metrópolis, en la ciudad de Valencia, Venezuela.
From the moment I approached the place, something caught my attention: its display case of burgers in full view, which seem to pose for the camera with pride. Honestly, it was love at first sight or rather, at first whim! The ambiance of the place is quite pleasant and comfortable, ideal to sit down and enjoy without rushing. Despite offering a wide variety of dishes, you can tell that their forte -and rightly so- is hamburgers.
Desde que me acerqué al local, algo me llamó la atención: su vitrina de hamburguesas a la vista, que parecen posar para la cámara con orgullo. Honestamente, fue amor a primera vista o mejor dicho, ¡a primer antojo! El ambiente del lugar es bastante agradable y cómodo, ideal para sentarse a disfrutar sin apuros. A pesar de ofrecer una amplia variedad de platos, se nota que su fuerte —y con razón— son las hamburguesas.
That day I opted for a combo that, for only 12 dollars, included two burgers “with everything”, fries, a soft drink and, as a special touch, two tequeños crowning the top of each burger. And honestly, I found the value for money hard to beat. As soon as I placed my order, it didn't take long for the food to arrive at the table, something I was extremely grateful for because I was very hungry. The speed of service is definitely a plus for Boosters.
Ese día opté por un combo que, por solo 12 dólares, incluía dos hamburguesas con todo, papas fritas, un refresco y, como toque especial, dos tequeños coronando la cima de cada hamburguesa. Y sinceramente, me pareció una relación calidad-precio difícil de superar. Apenas hice el pedido, no pasó mucho tiempo para que llegara la comida a la mesa, algo que agradezco muchísimo porque tenía mucha hambre. La rapidez en el servicio es definitivamente un punto a favor de Boosters.
The burger was a spectacle from the first bite. The brioche bun was soft, fluffy and slightly sweet, the kind that melts in your mouth and complements the rest of the ingredients without stealing the limelight. The meat was juicy, hot, well seasoned and with a firm texture that was a pleasure to chew. Each of the ingredients was perfectly distributed: lettuce, tomato, onion, sweet corn, egg, melted cheese, crispy bacon and some shredded potatoes that added a crunchy touch. All this together resulted in a true explosion of flavors in every bite, a balanced and very tasty mix that demonstrates attention to detail in the kitchen.
La hamburguesa fue un espectáculo desde el primer mordisco. El pan brioche era suave, esponjoso y ligeramente dulce, de esos que se deshacen en la boca y complementan el resto de los ingredientes sin robar protagonismo. La carne estaba jugosa, caliente, bien sazonada y con una textura firme que daba gusto masticar. Cada uno de los ingredientes estaba perfectamente distribuido: lechuga, tomate, cebolla, maíz dulce, huevo, queso fundido, tocineta crujiente y unas papitas ralladas que añadían un toque crocante. Todo eso unido daba como resultado una verdadera explosión de sabores en cada bocado, una mezcla balanceada y muy sabrosa que demuestra atención al detalle en la cocina.
One of the details I enjoyed the most was the variety of sauces they offer to accompany both the burgers and the fries. They had tomato sauce, barbecue, tartar sauce and a cheese sauce that, personally, was my favorite. The latter really tasted like cheese, with a creamy texture and an intense flavor that gave away that it was not a generic or instant sauce, but something made with love. That kind of detail makes all the difference.
Uno de los detalles que más disfruté fue la variedad de salsas que ofrecen para acompañar tanto las hamburguesas como las papas fritas. Tenían salsa de tomate, barbecue, tártara y una de queso que, en lo personal, fue mi favorita. Esta última realmente sabía a queso, con una textura cremosa y un sabor intenso que delataba que no era una salsa genérica ni instantánea, sino algo hecho con cariño. Ese tipo de detalles hacen la diferencia.
Perhaps my photos do not do justice to the actual size of the dish, but I assure you that it is a more than generous portion. It is one of those combos that you can share, although it is also ideal for those who have a good appetite. At the end I was absolutely satisfied and with a smile from ear to ear, because when you eat well, it shows.
Quizás mis fotos no le hagan justicia al tamaño real del plato, pero les aseguro que es una porción más que generosa. Es de esos combos que uno puede compartir, aunque también es ideal para quienes tienen buen apetito. Al final quedé absolutamente satisfecha y con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja, porque cuando uno come rico, se nota.
