Greetings to the entire Hive Food community! This weekend I decided to step away from my usual homemade recipes and try something I rarely buy: a ready-made chocolate cake mix. What caught my attention was the price—it cost only one dollar—and my curiosity ended up winning. I always like to have cookies or a slice of cake to enjoy with my coffee on my days off, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to see if it was really worth it. I have to admit that the result exceeded my expectations. The cake turned out moist, fluffy, and packed with rich chocolate flavor, making every cup of coffee even more enjoyable. Today I'd like to share this little experiment and tell you whether I think this cake mix is worth buying.

Mezcla para torta, los ingredientes que pide la mezcla fueron 3 huevos, 1/2 taza de aceite, yo decidí mejorar un poco, añadí un huevo más, colocar menos aceite, agregar 1/2 taza de leche y cucharada de polvo de hornear.
Cake mix: The ingredients listed on the package were 3 eggs and 1/2 cup of oil. I decided to tweak the recipe a bit: I added one more egg, used less oil, and added 1/2 cup of milk and a tablespoon of baking powder.

En un bol agregué la mezcla lista de torta, incorporé los ingredientes que dice el paquete, pero como expliqué en los ingredientes yo decidí mejorarlos, agregué otro huevo, 4 cucharadas de aceite, una cucharada de polvo para hornear y 1/2 taza de leche.
In a bowl, I added the cake mix and incorporated the ingredients listed on the package, but as I explained in the ingredients section, I decided to improve the recipe by adding another egg, 4 tablespoons of oil, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1/2 cup of milk.
Mezclen todo y obtendrán una mezcla densa, enharine un molde con aceite y harina de trigo, coloquen la mezcla.
Mix everything together until you have a thick batter, grease a baking pan with oil and flour, and pour in the batter.
Aún no tengo horno así que cociné la torta en la cocina, pero coloqué como base un sartén grueso para que el fuego no tuviera contacto directo con el molde, cociné durante 40 minutos a fuego bajo, dejé enfriar y desmolde.
I don't have an oven yet, so I baked the cake on the stovetop, but I placed a heavy skillet underneath so the heat wouldn't come into direct contact with the pan. I baked it for 40 minutes over low heat, let it cool, and then removed it from the pan.
