Today i would like to share the Recipe of Masala Poha it is common indian breakfast madeup of poha, also known as flat-beaten rice, and is seasoned with assorted spices and veggies. It is healthy and easy to digest ideal breakfast, even you can add veggies of your choice and fried peanuts to make it more delicious. Poha is common breakfast in my house, having twice a week, there are various way of making Poha but this recipe is easy and quick to make with common ingredients. Try this one pot breakfast recipe, you gonna like it for sure.

Ingredients📃


• 2 cups of poha.
• 1 Chopped tomato.
• ½ tbsp of mustard Seeds.
• Pinch of asafoetida.
• Few neem curry.
• 2 Chopped Green chilli(option).
• ½ cup of fresh green peas.
• ½ tbsp turmeric.
• ½ tbsp Red Chilli powder.
• 1 tbsp salt.
• 1 tbsp sugar.
• ½ lemon juice.
• Green coriander leaves.
• Sev for Garnish.

Firstly, place a sieve in a bowl and rinse poha till the water runs clean. Do not soak the poha in water. Keep the poha aside, and it will become non-sticky and soft.

Heat the oil in the kadai.

Add the mustard seeds and pinch of asafoetida and few curry leaves and splutter the tempering.

Add chopped tomato and green chilli (optional)

Add the spices - add turmeric, red Chilli powder, salt, sugar and saute till the spices turn aromatic.

now add green peas, lower the flame, cover it witg lid, cook untill peas get soft.

You can see green peas shrink which means peas are well cooked and tomato purees relese oil from the sides which means masala is also ready.

Now add in poha and mix gently.

Also lemon juice and coriander. Mix gently.

Cover and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the poha is cooked fully.

Your Poha is ready to serve, you cab also add crispy sev on the top to make more delicious. enjoy it in the morning with favourite beverage - Tea or Coffee.
