Today i would like to share the recipe of Dahi Vada extremely popular and Delicious food snack recipe made with urad dal fritters and dipped soaked in spiced creamy yoghurt sauce. It is famous Northen indian food, but now available every part of India even globally too. It is served chill, refrigerate them for 2-3 days and enjoy with friends and family. Usually in my house Dahi vada are made occasionally, as it is not easy to made even heavy to digest. There are various way of preparing it but 'm telling you easiest and best recipe, try this recipe, you definitely gonna like it. Dahi vada recipe also known as dahi bhalla recipe, it is known for sweet, spicy and savoury taste combination. It yoghurt snacks or recipes is always my favourite as i love to have curd even you can serve urad daal fritters with Green chutney as tea snacks which is also crispy and delicious in taste.

Ingredients📃


For Making Vada

• 1 cup urad dal.
• 2-3 Green chilli.
• 1 inch ginger.
• 1 tsp salt.
• Pinch of Baking Soda.
• 3/4 tbsp of Asafoetida.
• oil for frying.

For Soaking

• 4 Cups of Lukewarm Water.
• 1/2 tbsp of Salt.

Creamy Curd.

• 4 cups of Fresh Curd.
• 1/2 tbsp of Red chilli Powder.
• 1 tbsp of Cumin powder.
• 1/2 tbsp of Sugar.
• Salt to Taste.

• Tamarind chutney chutney & Green Coriander Leaves for Garnishing.

firstly,Rinse the urad daal thrice to remove the dirt then soak urad dal for 5 hours.

Drain off the water and transfer to the grinder. then add chilli and ginger. Blend to smooth paste adding water as required. try to add a less amount of water to prevent the batter from Running Consistency, Maintain it consistency.

transfer the urad dal batter to a large bowl, then add baking soda, salt and Asafoetida. Mix well using the whisk. Be careful prepare the thick Batter.

now using hand, drop a spoonful of batter into the hot oil. keeping the flame on medium, stir occasionally.

fry until the vada turns golden brown and crisp.

Repeat the process with the remaining batter. Drain off the vada over kitchen paper to remove excess oil.

now in a large bowl take 5 cup hot water, add salt and asafoetida, now drop the hot fried vada into the water and dip completely, it help to hasten the softening process of vada.

after 15-20 minutes, squeeze off the water. Over soaking the vada in hot water will break your Vada.

Now take curd into another big bowl, whisk and make sure it gives you Creamy Texture.

Now Add sugar, cumin powder, red chilli powder & salt, Mix it well, make sure everything combine well.

Now add the Vasa into creamy curd, vada will soak the creamy curd. Refrigerate it to make to cool.

Serve the Dahi vada, also pour a generous amount of green tamarind chutney, Green Coriander leaves, sprinkle chilli powder, cumin powder, chaat masala. finally, enjoy Chillied dahi vada.
