How is my beloved Hive community doing? Today I want to share with you one of those culinary spots that has become an essential part of my life—a place for laughter, a place for sadness, a place for celebration, or simply for peace and quiet.

Today I want to tell you about Café Ritual, which, true to its name, has become almost a ritual for me to visit several times a year—not only for its delicious food and affordable prices, but also for its positive energy; it’s truly a welcoming place.
Como se encuentra mi querida comunidad de Hive? hoy quiero compartirles uno de esos rincones gastronomicos que se han vuelto un lugar obligatorio en mi vida, lugar de risas, lugar de tristezas, lugar de celebracion o de simple tranquilidad.
Hoy quiero hablarles del café Ritual, que haciendo honor a su nombre se ha vuelto casi un ritual visitarlo varias veces por año, no solo por su comida deliciosa y precios accesibles, si no por su buena energia, es realmente un lugar acogedor.
Its indoor and outdoor tables have been the setting for afternoon snacks and breakfasts with loved ones—in this case, on June 17 with my dad. Amid our busy workdays, we got together for a while to chat and laugh.

At that time, my dad had only recently arrived in Uruguay, and it was also his first time visiting that café. As a true food lover, he loved everything we ate.
Sus mesitas exteriores e interiores han sido testigo de meriendas y desayunos con seres queridos en este caso, un 17 de Junio junto a mi papá, en medio de nuestras complicadas tardes de trabajo nos reunimos un rato para conversar y reirnos.
En ese entonces mi papá tenia poco tiempo de haber llegado a Uruguay, tambien su primera vez visitando ese cafe, y como buen amante de los postes le encanto todo lo que comimos.
That same year, my brother, who had come to live with us, brought my grandmother over for a visit. She doesn’t walk much, but we still went out for a walk a couple of times. On one of those occasions, we took her to Ritual Café for a snack; my brother and my boyfriend came along too. We had a really nice time, although my grandmother isn’t a big fan of having her picture taken, so there aren’t many photos from that day.
The dish you see below is one of my favorites on the menu. It’s called the Ritual Plate—it has toast with eggs, avocado, bacon, salad, and guacamole. It’s simply perfect.
Ese mismo año, mi hermano quien vino a vivir, trajo a mi abuela de paseo, ella no camina mucho, sin embargo salimos a pasear un par de veces, uno de esas veces la llevamos a merendar a ritual cafe, tambien vino mi hermano y mi novio, la pasamos muy bonito, aunque mi abuela no es muy fan de las fotos, asi que no hay tantos recuerdos de ese dia.

El plato que ven abajo, es uno de mis favoritos de la carta, se llama plato ritual, tiene tostadas con huevos, palta, panceta, ensalada, guacomole, es sencillamente perfecto.
My friends, for their part, are a key reason why I visit this café. Our first get-together as a group was here, and since then we’ve become inseparable—neither work, nor college, nor travel has kept us from coming back to laugh and have coffee together here.
As you can see, the table is full of a wide variety of choices—some wanted a main course, others preferred dessert, some had iced coffee, and others had hot coffee. That’s how different we are, but it only brings us closer together because we constantly have the chance to grow and learn from one another.

Mis amigas por su parte son parte fundamental de mis vistas a este cafe, nuestro primer encuentro como grupo fue aca, y desde entonces nos hemos vuelto inseparables, ni el trabajo, ni la universidad, ni los viajes han hecho posible que nosotras dejemos de volver a reir y tomar cafe juntas aqui.
Como pueden ver la mesa, esta llena de combinaciones muy variadas, algunas querian un plato fuerte, otras querian mas un postre, unas cafe frio, otras cafe caliente. Asi de diferentes somos nosotras, pero eso solo nos hace mas unidas porque constantemente tenemos la posibilidad de crecer y de aprender una de las otras.
When my friend Maria Alejandra came to visit, I just wanted to show her all the good stuff. Besides the museum, I went out to eat with her several times, and taking her to Ritual Cafe with my friends was a must.
They got along great that day, and later we went out for drinks at a bar in a nearby neighborhood.
Sometimes we find places where we feel good, places that make it onto our list of favorites. When I find a place like that, I can’t stop sharing it with my loved ones, because if I’m happy in a place, I love sharing that vibe with the people I care about so much.

Cuando vino de visita mi amiga Maria Alejandra, yo solo queria mostrarle cosas buenas, ademas del museo, sali a comer varias veces con ella y llevarla a Ritual cafe junto a mis amigas no podia faltar.
Se llevaron muy bien ese dia, incluso luego salimos a tomar unos tragos a un bar que quedaba en un barrio cercano.
Hay veces que conseguimos lugares donde nos sentimos bien, lugares que entran en nuestra categoria de favoritos, cuando consigo un lugar asi, no puedo parar de compartirlo con mis seres queridos, porque si soy feliz en un lugar, me encanta compartir ese mood con las personas que tanto quiero.
This place has also been the setting for countless romantic dates with @franqueff—special occasions like the ones in these photos from Valentine’s Day, or simply days when we escape the routine and make a last-minute plan to grab breakfast out. Its downtown location makes it quite convenient for both of us when it comes to heading to work afterward.
This time I also ordered my usual dish but swapped the toast for a bagel—a decision that, honestly, didn’t disappoint me.
Este lugar tambien ha sido testigo de innumerables citas romanticas junto a @franqueff , citas de dias especiales como en estas fotos que fue san valentin, o simplemente dias que escapando de la rutina hacemos un plan express de desayunar fuera de casa, su ubicacion en el centro, lo hace bastante conveniente cuando se trata de luego ir a trabajar para ambos.
En esta oportunidad tambien pedi el plato ritual pero cambiando la tostada por un bagel, decision que sinceramente no me defraudo.
