Today I'm sharing how to make a delicious oat and carrot omelet. It's rich in vitamins and protein, ideal for breakfast or served with toast and cassava bread. Hoy les comparto cómo preparar una deliciosa tortilla de avena y zanahoria. Es rica en vitaminas y proteínas, ideal para el desayuno o para acompañar con tostadas y pan de yuca. La receta es sencilla y requiere pocos ingredientes. ¡Los invito a prepararla conmigo!

PROCEDURE

The first step is to wash the vegetables thoroughly with plenty of water and vinegar, removing any peels and seeds.

Then I grated the carrot, crushed the garlic with a pestle, chopped the chili pepper, and grated the onion.

El primer paso es lavar bien las verduras con abundante agua y vinagre, retirando la piel y las semillas.

Luego rallé la zanahoria, machaqué el ajo con un mortero, piqué el chile y rallé la cebolla.

The next step was to add the eggs to a bowl, mix them with a fork, and then add salt to taste.

El siguiente paso fue añadir los huevos a un bol, mezclarlos con un tenedor y luego añadir sal al gusto.

Next, I added the carrot, mixed it again using a fork, and then added the rest of the vegetables: bell pepper, onion, and garlic. I mixed it again until I had a smooth mixture, checked the salt, and added a little.

A continuación, añadí la zanahoria, la mezclé de nuevo con un tenedor y luego incorporé el resto de las verduras: pimiento, cebolla y ajo. La mezclé una vez más hasta obtener una masa homogénea, comprobé la sal y añadí un poco más.

In the preheated skillet, I added the mixture and cooked it for 5 minutes over medium heat. Then I flipped it. I used a lid to help me since the tortilla was the size of the skillet and I couldn't flip it with a spatula. I placed a lid on the skillet and turned it upside down. As the tortilla landed on the lid, I carefully placed it back in the skillet, cooked side up. I cooked it for another 5 minutes, then removed it and let it cool.

En la sartén precalentada, añadí la mezcla y la cociné durante 5 minutos a fuego medio. Luego le di la vuelta. Usé una tapa para ayudarme, ya que la tortilla era del tamaño de la sartén y no podía darle la vuelta con una espátula. Coloqué la tapa sobre la sartén y la puse boca abajo. Cuando la tortilla cayó sobre la tapa, la volví a colocar con cuidado en la sartén, con el lado cocido hacia arriba. La cociné durante otros 5 minutos, luego la retiré y la dejé enfriar.
