Oh my word Eric, Robotaxis sound like something futuristic, but that's where we're at!
We used to find the odd frog inside the house, lived about 500 meters from a river. They always gave me a fright...but I think they got a bigger fright than I did.

We have one (or more) of these little frogs on our deck after almost every rain. I looked them up and they're a species of tree frog. They can freeze solid in the wintertime and come back to life when they thaw out. Pretty incredible. I jumped the first time I saw one! You just don't expect frogs to be on a deck that's ten feet up! Lol. I'm used to them now. I was reading a book on the deck yesterday and felt something staring and, low and behold, another "deck-frog".
We're getting to the point where we're excited now about the renovations. We've been in the planning stages since July and the contractors are finally starting to schedule the work-days now. Our plan is to get it all wrapped up before Thanksgiving in November. I think that's very doable. I hope you're well and settling into your new home!
