That's a very good question and will be a dilemma that we'll be scrambling to solve, I'm afraid. So many American households now rely on extra income from food delivery services or ride share apps just to pay their monthly bills. I'd guess almost every American has friends/family who drive for these apps. Robotaxi (and competitors) will decimate these jobs because their operation costs will be so much lower. The best time to begin planning for this massive job-elimination would have been five years ago. It's going to be an interesting societal transition!
