In this edition, I am enjoying pints on the town!

Pints are great. I think they are even better when enjoyed at a pub or gathering spot with others. Hence, the pint of the week. This week, we are at the golf simulators playing a round at Pebble Beach and enjoying a Birdie Juice session ale. How do golf beers rank compared to others? You will find out at the end of this post!

Such great fun for all ages and a great vehicle for beer.

End Times!

For another beer out on the town, we decided to visit the new End Times Bar & Beer Shop after the hockey game. I will have to give you a more complete review of this nice surprise of a beer destination. For now, I will stick to the beers we enjoyed.

We started with a typical round of Hazy IPAs from Counterpart Brewing Mugsy went for the Instant Crush Hazy Pale Ale which was a lighter session ale at only 5.2% ABV. Neat hops too with Cascade hops from New Zealand standard in ales and Nectaron which is all the rage for the tropical super hazy IPAs.

House of Cards

I Picked House of Cards Hazy IPA for the neat design and proprietor's opinion that it was a little sweet for his taste. I enjoy a sweeter IPA when it boasts Motueka, Simcoe & Waimea hops for that big tropical taste. Sometimes, the residual sugar in the beer means lower ABV as the yeast didn't convert it all into alcohol but this wonderful pint weighed in at a healthy 6.5%. So, plenty strong and bold which is just what the doctor ordered.

I can't recall the last time I busted out my coveted seal of approval but my experience in this neat bar and discovering a couple great beers from a new-to-me Niagara Falls brewery. I will have to return and give you the proper tour.
