The Most Important Goal You Will Set In 2024

If you have been listening to the @cryptomaniacspod over the past few years, you would have heard us talk about this topic. And as the year comes to an end, and 'resolutions' start to be written down, I thought it would be a great time to bring this up in a post.

In 2024, you should set a goal for yourself to double your stake!

Wait....What?

If you have 50,000 $HIVE or 100,000 $LEO that might be a bit out of reach unless you have deep pockets. But you see, this goal may not be for the orcas or the whales...It's for the rest of the blockchain!

Let's take a look at someone who may have 100 Hive Power, it's a lot easier fo them to hit 200 Hive Power than it would be for someone like me to double my stake.

200 Hive Power is DOUBLE your influence!

And what does that mean?

We always see complaints about how the larger accounts dictate what proposals go through on the DHF and who becomes a top 20 witness. Well imagine what would happen if everyone with 100 Hive Power, doubled their stake!

1000 Hive power holders, double their stake and hit 2000 HP....

That's some powerful thinking!

And I believe this is how we show the world what true decentralization truly can be. If you don't have endless pockets to grow your stake, this is somthing that you can commit to right now.

Take an inventory of the tokens you wish to increase your stake on in 2024, and make the commitment to add value to those communities. Your influence will grow, not only through yoru stake...But also in the community and people will notice.

This goes back to my little 'formula'...

I swear, this is the easiest way to grow your influence n chain and I know because....I literally followed this to the letter! Now that being said, Jongo is hardly a huge influencer here on chain, but the journey has been that much more rewarding.

Simply because...I focused on growing my stake as soon as I joined and continue to do so!

Maybe 5000 Hive Power is out of range for you right now....How about 500?

I have to credit @taskmaster4450 for highlighting this every time we bring this up...

"Anyone can go from 100 to 200 Hive Power!"

And he's right.....And let's nbot even begin to talk about a layer 2 token like $LEO. If you want to see a bunch of LEO whales that basically want to upvote every single person who adds value to the community, go check it out. You could double your stake on LEO pretty easily!

Here's the action plan for you in 2024...

Write down the tokens you want to increase your stake in (eg. HIVE, LEO etc)
Take inventory of what you currently hold and have powered up!
Work every week in 2024 to double what you currently have!

And in 12 months from now....Imagine the influence we would all have here on the blockchain!

Doubling is definitely a lot easier in the early going. I am doing this entirely on participation; like many I know, if there's any cash money it has to go for food or keeping basic bills paid.

That said, I am definitely dedicating 2024 to growing my stake in various Hive ecosystem projects. Whether any actually double, that remains to be seen!

I wouldn't rely on this blockchain yet to pay the bills, unless you can bringing in hundreds of tokens a day. Trust me, I know lol That's my goal but there is no way I can support my family from rewards here

I see how it can be making a difference in the lives of some lives where the cost of living is low; but in North America where it takes $100/day to fund just the basics, not so much. I'm just grateful to be building a small "savings portfolio," and maybe in 10 years from now it'll be "something!"

Doubling your stake is a decent goal but it gets harder as your own stake goes up. It does put up a challenge though because you will have to put in some work. Good luck with doubling your stake because it will be quite hard.

That's why it might not be an option for those of us with tens of thousands in stake, but smaller accounts would benefit big time from that approach.

That's the way! Just break it down to weekly goals...If you need 500 Hive Power to double your stake, you know you need to earn about 10 Hive a week.

Last year I focused on HP, going from just under 1500 HP to just over 3000 HP. I think next year I will focus on HBD and growing my SORT token

This is encouraging. Now I have 300 HP, so that means I have to earn 600 HP at the end of 2024. That's easy to think and exciting, so let's see if I can work it out. I think I can. 😍

Here's the secret to it....52 weeks in a year, so to double your HP, you need to generate around around 5.8 HIVE a week. Easy stuff :)

My goal is adding the HBD savings to 600 and also doubling the HP. I am not spending HBD to double power but doubling on curation and commenting. That I feel would be helping. I have to also think of bringing new players to splinterlands too. This way there would be some outside money on Hive. Have to do what i can to help this ecosystem :)

I am on 4160HP... nearly at that 5000HP mark! So... early 2024 I shall get past that level! I am aiming at adding at least 2500HP for 2024 and ending roughly on 6700HP!

The race on here is indeed a marathon not a sprint. Constant patience , hardwork and grinding helps one at acheiving the laid down goals personally set at securing substantial amount of Hive power . I hope by next year I'm able to double my HP at least, I think it's safe to say that's a goal towards acheiving come next year!
