Today I wanted to join the weekly contest Qurators Hive Top Chef of Sausages
It was a family Sunday where we enjoyed making some homemade pizzas with sausage, and I wanted to share this wonderful recipe with you in case anyone wants to try it out.

Ingredients for the dough:

3 cups (200ml each) of flour

1 cup (200ml) of water

½ teaspoon of salt

2 tablespoons of oil

2 teaspoons of dry yeast

1 teaspoon of sugar (optional)

Other ingredients (quantities to taste):

Tomato paste

Cheese

Sausage

Preparation:
Heat the water to about 40°C, then add the dry yeast, sugar, and one teaspoon of flour. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes so the yeast can ferment.

In a bowl, add the 3 cups of flour and the salt, and mix well. Add the yeast mixture and the two tablespoons of oil into the center of the flour, making a little volcano, and stir until the dough comes together easily.

Sprinkle some flour on your work surface and knead the dough until smooth. Let it rest for 2 hours in a covered bowl in a dark place.

Return the dough to the work surface, knead again, divide it into portions, and place them in pans lightly brushed with oil. Let rest for more than 40 minutes.

Once ready, add the tomato paste, cheese, and the topping of your choice. In this case, we chose chicken sausages, which are my favorite. For one large pizza, I usually use 2 to 3 finely grated sausages for better distribution.

The next step is to bake in a preheated oven at 270°C for about 12–15 minutes.
