Hey mate, curious (and don't get me wrong, I know you can) why you keep upvoting yourself on your main posts and not on your comments? Trying to understand why people do this... because it makes no sense to me.
If visibility, then just ping me... otherwise, why not also on comments? It's driving me crazy...
Especially your account is like... a lot of stuff I identify with, even if you post like fax machine... and given I am pretty sure you understand how Hive works (but maybe I am wrong) the "why" you keep doing it... is fricking defying me to ask the question!

Rewards are earned two ways, author rewards and curation rewards. There are also Hive-Engine tokens, so when users vote on my post they also receive extra fun tokens when I vote on it. I have been around since the very beginning and have always done this, and there is nothing wrong with upvoting your own posts. Voting for your own comments however is excessive and would be silly. I have increased my voting power so that I distribute more rewards to the users who vote on my posts and I also upvote comments from people who are social and interact with my posts. Hive is a fun place and I like to share, and try to teach others how it works by example! !PIZZA Thanks for asking, have a great day!!
I am interested in your opinion about the difference between upvoting your own comments vs creating so many posts and upvoting them all too?
Examples...
A) 10 posts in a day, 0 comments, all 10 posts self-upvoted
B) 1 post a day, 10 comments on people, all 11 actions self-upvoted
vs
C) 1 post a day, 10 comments, zero self-upvotes
Which one you think it would be the most "fair" usage of your VESTS or staked token power (in case of Hive-Engine), that fairly draws tokens from the rewards pool?
I agree that "quantity" is key for the above behaviour. But then how will one consider "this is too much"? If the above example didn't spark what my point is trying to be, then multiply by 10x and I think you get the idea.
In a sense the resume is, if all the power of an account is curating an account own posts, is it really curating? 😎
I always like to start my day reading /Created searching for new quality posts and authors to upvote. It's also important to read /Trending so you can get an idea of what is popular and what the community is talking about. In the early days, there wasn't much explanation of how things worked so those of us who liked stamping hypertext into the blockchain had to figure it out and explain for others. I think you might be worrying too much about what people do, the best thing is to write high quality content for the blockchain. I think a few Authored posts per day is reasonable as long as they are original and not identical, and users will comment and vote on what they like. Comments will come as users read, and you can upvote their comments. I avoid upvoting my own comments because it is excessive. I don't really use Snaps either. There are no limits except what your voting power allows, but if you write too many daily posts then it can be seen by users as spam. There is no reason to upvote all your own comments unless you REALLY like them, and want it to go to the top of the comment sorting. My Hive blog is my website now, so I post here instead of wasting time on domains. You earn based on your own efforts and your 'proof of brain' here on Hive, so make efforts consistently and you will earn an organic following. If you don't author posts and choose only to curate, that is a personal choice. Thanks for stopping by, good luck on your journey becoming active on Hive!
