#1078 - Best of Luck Expo in Cubao Quezon City Shots for Saturday.
Great Saturday morning dearest Hiveans across the globe! A wonderful, relaxed and cheerful Saturday to us all. Today is our special day to unwind completely, to listen to our hearts and fill the simple joys that make you smile. I hope you get to fill these precious hours exactly as you wish. Enjoy this Saturday to the absolute fullest😉.
Now for our daily shots on one particular Sunday morning when my wife and I had already run a full 10k around the academic oval of UP Diliman with our legs feeling heavy. From there, we also drove to the Marikina Public Market to buy our grocery list of vegetables and pork, chicken and other necessities. By that late morning, we were so tired and physically spent and very, very much hungry. We hadn't eaten a proper breakfast, just fueled our run with water😂.

That's when my wife had the perfect idea because she's been saving some of her money: "Let's go to Cubao Expo, my treat". More specifically, to the famous Chinese restaurant there called Best of Luck. It was the ideal reward, I am fine eating goto in thes streets but she wanted something delicious and not cheap. We arrived early at the Expo. We found the restaurant right by the opening hour of 11AM on Sundays. We were among the first customers of the day, we went upstairs into the cool and dark interior with nostalgic vibe.

We sat down as our stomachs roaring. It was almost lunchtime, but for us this is super late breakfast. We ordered, then our table soon became a clutter of steaming plates. We got a chicken feet dimsum. There was a huge bowl of braised beef noodles which is good for two people already. My wife had a spicy, nutty bowl of chili peanut noodles topped with pork siomai, there also a braised beef rice and crispy fried egg rolls.

We ate happy with silence for a few minutes, it's the kind of meal where you just look at each other and nod because the food is good. Our exhaustion from the run and the market errands melt away and got replaced by fullness. It was the great way of recovery meal haha.

After paying the bill, we decided to walk it off by exploring the Expo. The compound was coming to life. We walked a few stores, there's one selling antique stuff. We also spotted a resident cat still sleepy on top of a plastic container. It was a day that was well balanced of sweat, chores, food flavors which exactly how our weekend should feel😍.
