Today I had a lovely couple of hours out with my husband and my daughter, we decided to go to Penshaw Farm as my daughter had never been. Its about a 25 minute drive from us so not to far, its a lovely place to visit but gets very very busy all week.
They have a Fruit & Vegetable shop, Bakery, Butchers, Fresh milkshake plus a large Cafe. Me and Glen had already eaten so only ordered a Coffee & scone whilst Nichola hadn't eaten so ordered there homemade Quiche with chips & salad.
We did our shopping before sitting down to eat as the Cafe was very busy when we first arrived. The Sun was out so we ate our food in the garden, its a lovely place to sit plus dogs are allowed so we get to say Hello to a few pups. The garden is a very pretty place with lots of flowers, Bees, Butterflies and a very annoying wasp that wouldn't take No for an answer. We eventually managed to frighten it away.
The coffee is delicious plus you get a good sized cup, I can never drink all mine. We had some fun taking photos trying to look cool, not sure what my hair was doing on a couple of them as looks like I've had an electric shock.
I also picked up a Quiche and Cake for my mother in law, she has been stuck in her flat for over a week whilst they fit new shower rooms, her flat has got to be the hottest place, I can only last an hour and that's with fans blowing. She was pleased to see us plus lucky we did call in as she needed some help with her phone and her electric bill. She's 81, They don't think when they send her messages or emails asking her to make an appointment or check her account, I dread to think what mess she would be in if she didn't have our help. Nichola sorted everything out for her so she could relax for a couple of days. She's been up early everyday whilst the fitters were busy, her little flat got dusty so had to clean so bless her she was shattered. She was over the moon we sorted her problems out plus she didn't have to make any food as we had brought it with us.
When we were there we treat ourselfs to a cake to bring home, I've always been a big fan of cake but think my tastes are changing, I couldn't eat most of it, I'm preferring savoury foods now, the thought of a cream cake is making me feel sick, AND no in not pregnant haha im way to old for that nonsense.
