If I want more SURGE I need to buy HIVE ... isn't that great for HIVE?

I wished I could buy SURGE directly with FIAT but that will only happen once it's moved to BASE which at the same time will rise the SURGE price to 1$ ... and I will loose a profit I would get currently on HE.
