When we say Transylvania, we immediatly think of the legend of Dracula the vampire.
But now nowadays this gorgeous region of Romania is visited by tourists from everywhere for her beauty . for the her nice forest and lakes and the hospitality of the locals.
Who smilingly offers them traditional meals with delicious food.
....and soft drinks from berries, apricots and plums, an alcoholic drink called brandy tuica similar to Russian vodka.Everything is prepared in their house, handmade, by the family members.
The food is totally traditional from the meat to the #garnita# , that is meat and spicy pork sausages, fried in lard, then it is kept for up to a year in special glass or clay vessels covered pork fat.

Smoked ham ,sausages seasoned with pepper , garlic, thyme, paprika, smoked over wood fire are brought on wooden, porcelain or clay platters.
Add the salty pickles with spices such as pepper , bay leaves ,garlic, dill, green and red pepper.
But let’s not forget the warm and soft polenta , called mamaliga here, made from corn together with the fresh cheese with cream which is delicious and very good for children.
Then comes dessert of sweet donuts and wonderful golden pies with lots of cheese and eggs.
