Namaste!
The topic of today's prompt reminded me of descriptive composition that used to be giving to us back in the days in my primary and secondary school days. One thing about me then is that whenever we are asked to write a composition about food, I'm always alert and this is just because of my love for food.
Having talked about composition and food, I would love to delve into the topic of the prompt before me which is all about. “What is your favourite food and why?”
Well I have eaten varieties of food and back then when I was growing up, it's so difficult for me to pinpoint to what my favourite was, but since I have grown up a little bit, I can say that my favourite food is rice and beans with egg and fried plantains garnished with a well prepared pepper stew that has fish in it.
Whenever I'm being served this special delicacy of mine, I'm always happy and this is because it used to calm my nerves and fill my hunger. I love this special delicacy to the extent that it cures my worries whenever I'm eating it. You know what people use or do to cure their worries or take away their sorrow, mine is to eat my favourite rice, beans, fried plantain that is being garnished with a well prepared cooked stew with fish in it.
Aside from the fact that this good helps me to stay out of hunger, I love the food just because of the nutrients it provides to my body. In this special delicacy, there's protein, carbohydrates,iron, fat and oil, and vitamins, just to mention a few. If we look at all the nutrients being supplied by this food one will see that it's more than just a food as it helps to keep me strong, refresh my skin and make me stay healthy.
In conclusion, as for me, I don't just eat for the sake of eating sake. I eat for the taste of it and for the nutrients such food would supply to my body. The above stated food which is my favourite food has all it takes to be called my favourite food.
