Just this afternoon, on Sunday, when I returned from church, I was very hungry and I needed to eat food, so I quickly went to the kitchen to boil rice and that was when I remembered that I had been eating rice for the past two days and I miss the food I consider as favourite, "Swallow" which comprises of Eba, fufu, semovita, pounded yam taken with any kind of soup.

As for me, I consider my best meal to be the one I can't go for a long period without eating. A favourite food isn't something one eats once in a while. Some people pick a very expensive meal as their favourite food, yet they only get to eat it once in a blue moon.
Why do I love this African food?
I grew up eating this type of meal as the main food we ate in our home. We weren't brought up eating light meals; we were raised on heavy meals, and that's because we grew up doing hard farm work. So now, I consider other meals to be very light. I still eat them, but whenever I go for a number of days without eating this African food(swallow), especially Eba and soup, my body starts to miss it, and before I know it, I find myself rushing back to this meal.
Like I said earlier, this meal doesn't refer to just one particular food, the way we have rice, beans, noodles, or yam. No, this meal has different varieties, and I can settle for any of them and still be okay.
As things stand currently, I can't see myself going to a restaurant to eat any type of meal apart from this favourite meal of mine. It just can't happen! Many times, I've gone out to eat with friends and, to their surprise, I ordered Eba and soup while my friends ordered rice, spaghetti, and other meals. No, no, you can't catch me going to a restaurant to eat rice. If it's not swallow, then I'm not eating. 😂
Thanks for reading.
