Wow! I know that one should expect some hick-ups and damage while doing a move like this...but wow...squashing a load into a truck that is clearly too small for the load. And as you say (and clearly visible in your photos), clearly marked as FRAGILE and what side should be up...Let's rather leave it there, I'm sure you don't need to be reminded of that...

Luckily the driver listened to your advice about where to park the truck...but one would expect an experienced driver to know that?

Anyhow, I'm glad he was friendly and that he had the opportunity to take his wife along with him. Sorry that you all had to work so hard. How is your back now?

It was cringeworthy to see it come out of the truck in that state. And how they just pushed all in there, knowing it wasn’t big enough (the truck)

I was glad he did as I could see an accident happen how he had parked. Imagining the more got out the more it would hang down. Tumble down… nope didn’t want that.

That is why the further unpacking is going a bit slower. But all good 😊 we are glad it did arrive. And things are still things 🤓

Did you see I tagged you in yesterdays post? I did manage to post the last part of the journey… with lots of snow. 15 cm of snow and ice… a winter wonderland. Hope I can share those photos too with you 😊👋🏻

I can imagine what you must have felt like seeing your stuff like that. I just hope your airbrush compressor didn't get damaged...!

The truck tumbling down...? No! I don't think that would have been a nice ending to your journey! It's a good thing you spoke to the driver.

Rather take it slow for now and give your back some rest and time to recover. I am also battling with lower back problems and hip problems from old sports injuries. It's no fun as you get older... Rather take good care of yourself. Moving as much as possible and following a good, regular workout program helps a lot, but you still have to be careful. I've been able to avoid being operated on by doing just that...but I guess what I'm trying to say is...rather be careful and take great care of yourself.

Yes, I saw you tagged me! Thank you for that! I did read your post and enjoyed it very much! I almost had to put on a jacket after looking at your photos...lol! Wow! All that snow! But it is beautiful!!

I just had to talk to him.

Will take it easy with my back. I have trapped nerves due to scoliosis. I know what movement and which things I can do and what I shouldn’t be doing.
Definitely not moving boxes.
Somedays my back is fine some days it isn’t and I can hardly walk.
I found out over the years what works and indeed keep moving and the walks I do, do help. Don’t sit down all day… nope.
That’s good to hear you found what worked for you. 😊 especially avoiding an operation.

One does learn in life, and listening to my body I had to learn the hard way.
Now I do luckily.
Let’s say most days is ok… some not, but mostly I did do something wrong or forget. Like carrying my camera plus a handbag… that’s a no go… just one thing is ok.

But don’t worry, all fine.

I totally understand! It can be so frustrating... Physically you've got the strength, and without thinking about it, you go ahead and do something. But very soon, your back lets you know it was not the right thing to do...

But I'm glad all is fine. As long as you are still fine, life is good🙏😉👍!
