Lentil is a perfect ingredient for many vegan dishes because it's extremely nutritious, it gives much energy and feeling of fullness for many hours.
The secret is in high amount of protein that makes it so healthy and great.
I like to make soups using lentils, but this type I decided to try another dish - lentil cutlets.
And I must admit it's really super tasty!
We need:
- lentil (soaked for 8-10 hours)
- onion
- carrot
I don't write amount because it doesn't matter and depends only on your taste. - spices - any you like
- salt, pepper
- plant oil
At first we cut or grind onions and carrots.
Then we fry them for about 5-8 min. I used avocado oil for it.
Then we blend it all together with lentil.
Then we add all spices we need and like (I took turmeric, garlic, salt, red pepper).
I was afraid I wouldn't be able to make cutlets, but it was easy to make them, and there were no problem in frying them on a frying pan. They kept their form super great!
So I got such lentil cutlets. They were really cool!
We can eat them with different sauces as a second dish.
