Our village just tends to have some lights on lampposts and trees. Things like the nutcracker have a long history and we see it here too. I tend to think that Christmas gets too spread out, but I expect the shops like to get people in the spirit so they spend their money. Mind you, some places have a Christmas shop that is open all year!

        I think there is a Christmas shop open all year in Florence (just around 40 minutes by car from here), but I'm not sure. Yes, the shops like to get people in the spirit, for example here in my city some shops started to decorate them for Christmas just after the Halloween time. 😁
