'Phone Photography' - My ghost flower

in Feel Good12 days ago

One of the plants in my garden that I like to photograph the most is this succulent. Its name is the ghost flower, in popular slang, but scientifically recognized as the Graptopetalum paraguayense.

It is a plant that any hobbyist can grow in their home, following the minimum conditions essential for the life and support of a succulent.

I highly recommend it; it is easy to care for, to reproduce, it is very rarely infected by pests, and it does not suffer from as many diseases as other succulents.

This is one of the plants that has resisted the most in my garden due to my neglect, and in addition to the proliferation and death by pests.

I have reproduced it many times, through branches and their leaves as well. When its leaves accidentally come off, I immediately place the leaf lying down in a pot, with succulent substrate, and then I have to wait a few weeks to see how the small flower begins to emerge from the side where I detached it from the mother plant.

I think they called the ghost flower because of its color; it is like milk but tends to be a little darker. It tolerates direct sun, and in the shade, it also grows, but its leaves tend to separate, and it loses the pink appearance that it maintains.

Wow, the Ghost Flower looks so fantastic! 💖 It sounds like the perfect plant for busy gardeners, especially since it's so easy to propagate from a single leaf 🙌 Its resilience is quite impressive 💕

It is one of the first plants I acquired when I started with succulents. It is a plant that resembles a flower; It is beautiful how it changes according to the presence of sun or shadow.
