This recipe was given to my wife by a friend who also has two children. It helped them when they had a fever of 39–40°C. It has helped my children as well, and even us adults.

To make this tea blend, you need one small teaspoon of each dried and crushed ingredient(one small teaspoon for the herbs to cover the bottom of the cup) :

Mullein leaves

White or black marshmallow root or leaves

Elderflower

Fennel fruit

Lemon balm leaves

Plantain leaves

Thyme needles (completely crushed)

The easiest part is heating the water (I used a kettlewith one liter ) and pouring boiling water over the mixture. Let it steep for no more than about 15 minutes so the taste doesn’t change, then strain it using a sieve. Sweeten with honey using a wooden spoon, if desired, because metal spoons absorb the beneficial properties of honey. A common mistake is adding honey to boiling tea.

Below, I will briefly explain the benefits of each herb listed above:

Mullein – helps with coughing caused by viruses

White and black marshmallow – also help with coughing

Elderflower – rich in vitamins and minerals, helps with inflammation, clears the respiratory system, thins mucus in congested airways, aids digestion, and boosts appetite

Lemon balm – helps with insomnia, nervousness, and promotes calmness

Thyme – a natural antiseptic that soothes strong coughs, prevents the spread of infection, and has anti-inflammatory effects

This combination of herbs cannot do any harm. I named it “Health on a Plate”, and to make it easier to recognize, I photographed and sorted the ingredients like this:

This tea is not a medical treatment, but a traditional herbal support we personally use during seasonal discomfort.

Thank you for reading the blog. If you’re already here, you’re in the right place to experience the benefits of what nature has to offer. Cheers, and to your health!

Hi @dusan.stojkov

Welcome to the Amazing Drinks community, where you can share any beverage, as long as it's not beer or coffee, since those already have active niches.

I see you've shared a very potent tea, ideal for treating flu symptoms, which can sometimes be so bothersome. It's a great recipe.

However, I have one observation regarding your post: In every food or drink recipe, it's ESSENTIAL to include the quantities of the ingredients, as this allows readers to make the recipe in the future.

So please edit your post and include these quantities, even if they are approximate (including the water you used), and indicate how much of the beverage you obtained.

Thank you.

Cheers!

All right. Thanks for the correction, I'll keep that in mind in the future.
