*This is literally a snapshot of breakfast during my university days. Back then, my boardmates and I just cooked what was available. Never mind the nutrients and health benefits. As long as it was easy enough to cook and budget friendly, we were totally fine with it. I still do my uni-breakfast to this day,'coz why not?😀
What I ate for breakfast.
So basically, this is an instant breakfast: instant noodles, 3-in-1 coffee, eggs, veggie tapa and leftover rice. Not the healthiest breakfast, but tastes great. We ran out of fruits, which I love eating in the morning. I guess I will have to go to the market later to get me some fresh pantry supplies and, maybe, get me a nice tall cup of coffee at my favorite spot.
Plans
It's a cool Sunday morning and the weather is encouraging me to go for a nice walk. I might do it after lunch because of a few more chores I have to finish up at home. Then, it's errands and my latte or Americano together with my new favorite pastime: people watching. Heck, I might even get a caramel macchiatta if I'm feeling good when I get there.
I love observing people. Maybe a sign that I'm getting old. I used to see the lolos and lolas chilling at their front porch while reading the morning newspapers. I get similar vibes when I hang out with my friends at the mall. From seeing the young ones showing their tantrums to the pet owners who brought their dog or cat to the mall with them. I find it really interesting to think about their personalities from just their appearance, mannerisms, how they walk. My ninang has a cute pet bird, but she doesn't really bring her anywhere. Not that it's related but I just remembered and wanted to put it in the blog. LOL.
Making blogging a habit.
So I missed uploading to my blog yesterday. I was busy with some offline stuff that I wasn't able to create my post. I'm still struggling to find the blogging rhythm where I can upload regularly, which is still a work in progress.
They say that one needs 21 days to form a habit, but more recent findings tell us that this isn't the case. Research now puts the number higher, closer to around 2.5 months, if I am not mistaken. The 21 days stemmed from an anecdotal story in Dr. Maxwell Maltz book, "Psycho-Cybernetics", where he observed that it generally took 21 days for his patients to adjust to their appearance after plastic surgery.
Final Thoughts
I missed uploading for two days this week, but I'm still happy with my creative output for the week. More importantly, I was writing daily even if I did not finish the blog on the day and just saved some in my drafts. Hopefully, I get to the point where this becomes a habit and I just automatically do what I needed to do without thinking about it too much. Hopefully, I get to upload more than my freewriting stuff and go on to the more creative, in depth, and funny storytelling moments.
And, that's it for today. Thanks.for taking the time to read my blog. I really, really appreciate it.
Love and peace
