Hello Hive friends! Today I would like to show you my way of preparing Puto Cheese!

One of the most popular Filipino snacks, Puto Cheese, is a soft, fluffy steamed rice cake topped with melted cheese. Here are the ingredients I use in my version. Enjoy watching — and thank you so much for your support!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups cake flour

  • 1 cup bread flour

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • ¼ cup vegetable oil

  • 3 tsp baking powder

  • 3 tsp baking soda

  • ½ can (approx. ¾ cup) Carnation evaporated milk

(Plus cheese slices for topping!)

The preparation process is shown in detail in my video!

Sometimes I also make Puto Cheese with violet or green color. Then I use ube and pandan flavor to color the snacks.

Now I hope you enjoy the video and my pictures! (A YouTube version of the video can be found here.)

Let me show you some ingredients first.

The preparation of the yummy Puto Cheese begins! The details are explained in the video.

Can you imagine how crazy I am? Sometimes, in the middle of the cooking process, I feel like dancing ... and then I just dance! :-)

Don't these little cakes look yummy?

Hm... want one, too?

I love it together with black coffee!

And these are the ones reserved for my customers.

I bet this tastes as creamy and yummy as it looks. The addition of cheese at the top and the colours makes it look even more appealing.

Thank you for your very nice and encouraging comment, @wongi. Maybe one day in future you can taste one of my dishes, hehe. 😊

I look forward to such a day.

It looks delicious!
If only your near at my place ,

From October on I might be either in Manila or Tagaytay to open my food selling business. It's not 100 % sure yet, but I will keep you informed. So you actually might be my first customer, hehe! 😊

Greetings @gen-quimba ,

Kindest Regards,

Bleujay

Thank you, @bleujay! I wished I could offer you now a few of these cakes, hehe!

I like puto. It is easy to prepare and the ingredients are not many and it just take minutes to cook. One of the snack they sell in our school before.

I like puto.

So we are already two, hehe! And yes, it's not difficult, easy to make and yummy! 😊
