Hello friends! Can you imagine: I am now back to my home country for a few months but still in the process of building my food selling business here in the Philippines! My plan is to rent out the second floor of my house. That way, my son and I can live on the first floor, which I also want to use as a small Sari-Sari store. The problem is that everything is taking much longer than expected, and I made the mistake of paying the workers too much in advance so that now they are less motivated to work fast! So while I have to wait, I am trying to sell food outside, like I did in Hong Kong before.
This Monday I prepared yummy Puto Cheese, and then went out on Tuesday early in the morning to sell it. For some reason it's much harder to walk and sell in Manila than it was in Hong Kong! Maybe people have less money available or are more accustomed to going directly to the shops? I spent more than two hours looking for customers, while always calling, hehe. In the end at least I had sold 11 of 15 packages... It's not easy but I love to make food and still like the feeling to interact with the people who buy from me. It feels so nice to satisfy their cravings!
But I really hope that soon I can use my own store, too! If you live in or near Quezon City, please come and buy from me then... or at least tell your friends about the best Puto Cheese available in Manila, hehe. 😉
Now let me share some photos from my last Puto Cheese adventure!
